Car Vest Own is an independent automotive sales and ownership-services shop located at 3213 45th Street in City Heights, San Diego. We sell quality used vehicles and help buyers through every part of the process, from finding the right car to keeping it running well for years. The shop was founded and is run by Paul J Katson, a lifelong car enthusiast who turned a lifetime of working on vehicles into a business built on trust rather than volume.
Paul grew up around cars and spent years helping friends and family buy, inspect, and maintain vehicles long before Car Vest Own opened its doors. He saw too many people get burned by rushed deals, hidden problems, and pressure tactics, and he decided the neighborhood deserved a different kind of shop. One where the person across the desk tells you the truth, even when the truth is that a car is not right for you.
Our story
Car Vest Own started small: a few well-kept vehicles, a rented lot on 45th Street, and word of mouth. The first customers were neighbors and coworkers. The next ones were their cousins, brothers, and friends. That pattern still holds today. We have never relied on aggressive advertising or high-pressure closers. Instead, the shop has grown one honest transaction at a time, and that is exactly how Paul intends to keep it.
The name itself reflects the philosophy. A car is more than a purchase; it is something you vest in and something you own outright, with pride and with support behind it. We want every customer to feel that both when they sign the paperwork and five years down the road.
