Advertising Policy
How Car Vest Own presents its vehicles and services: honestly, plainly, and without third-party advertising.
This Advertising Policy explains how Car Vest Own handles advertising, marketing, and promotion on carvestown.com and in everything else that carries our name. The short version: we do not run third-party ads, we do not sell your information, and we describe our vehicles the way we would want them described to us.
No third-party advertising
This website does not display third-party advertising of any kind. There are no banner ads, no sponsored listings, no affiliate links, and no paid placements anywhere on carvestown.com. When you read a page here, everything on it is our own material about our own vehicles and services. We also do not sell, rent, or trade visitor information with advertisers or data brokers, and we never will. If a vehicle or service is ever featured here in connection with a third party, that relationship will be clearly disclosed.
Honest presentation of what we sell
Used-car advertising has a reputation, and we work against it. These are the standards we hold ourselves to on this site and on the lot:
- No deceptive claims. We describe each vehicle's condition, history, and known flaws accurately, and we do not promise anything we cannot deliver.
- No bait pricing. We do not advertise teaser prices or vehicles we have no intention of honoring. If a price or availability detail on this site matters to your decision, call us and we will confirm it before you make the drive.
- No undisclosed sponsored content. We do not accept payment for reviews, recommendations, or mentions on this site. If that ever changes, it will be labeled clearly.
- Honest fit. If a vehicle is not right for how you drive, we will say so, even if it means no sale that day.
No pressure, no aggressive tactics
You will not find countdown timers, invented scarcity, or high-pressure pitches here, online or in person. You are welcome to take your time, arrange an independent inspection, and think things over. Owner Paul J Katson built this shop on repeat customers and referrals, and that only works when people feel respected rather than pushed.
External links
This site occasionally links to outside resources, such as the map service on our contact page or vehicle-history references we mention in conversation. Those links are provided for convenience. We do not control external websites, and a link is not an endorsement of anything found there. We encourage you to review the terms and policies of any site you visit from ours.
Partners and vendor outreach
Suppliers, finance partners, and other vendors occasionally approach us about products or services. We evaluate every proposal on its merits, do our homework before recommending anyone to a customer, and only refer partners we would use ourselves. We never accept compensation that would change what we tell a buyer. When we reach out to others, we introduce ourselves, say why we are calling, and respect the answer. If you receive a message claiming to be from Car Vest Own that feels out of character, please let us know so we can look into it.
Compliance
Our marketing practices are intended to comply with applicable truth-in-advertising laws in the United States, including the standards enforced by the Federal Trade Commission, as well as applicable California consumer protection laws. If you believe anything on this site falls short of the commitments in this policy, tell us and we will correct it.
